Clemson (1-0) stole 9 bases, Kyle Parker went 2-4 with 3 RBI and Addison Johnson went 3-4 with 3 runs scored as the Tigers beat UNC-Charlotte 8-3 (0-1) to open the 2009 season on Friday.
Trey Delk (1-0) was the winning pitcher for Clemson.
