I'm working on a piece about the ACC races this fall and I think you'll be surprised and intrigued by what comes out of that, but that is a few days away from being final. So until then, here is a round up of news from today:
1. Da'Quan Bowers gets his first lesson as a Tiger
2. Freshmen tailbacks look for an opportunity
3. Spiller sees room for improvement
From the Alabama perspective here are a couple:

2. Steele takes pragmatic approach
And one note from Florida State: They've apparently added a 6'6, 305lb Junior College OL to their roster. Not sure how good he is, but the Seminoles sure need the help.
